Lucky find

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had come across an interesting band, The Glade, on a WordPress post. I discovered that they have a CD out and immediately ordered it. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when you buy music having just heard one track… but how exciting when you find that out of the twelve songs on the album, every single one is a winner!

The lyrics and music are written by Jonas Carping, and there are three other members of the band, Tobias Gustavsson, Martin Karlsson and Nils Janlöv. I love the first song, ‘The last Round’ which has the sort of melody which just sticks in your head,sweet and powerful. It leads you into the rest of the tracks which are quite individual, each one very different from the previous… I’m not sure which one I like best; I’ve played it continuously since I got it, and each time I find a different track which appeals. The vocals are fabulous, such interesting voices… But don’t just take my word for it… have a listen:
