Brought together by music!

My Dutch friend and I met through our love of music quite a few years ago. We began our friendship with a correspondence and then she and her daughter visited us; we had such a fun time together, non-stop chatting and laughing and enjoying ourselves. Our family went to the Netherlands to visit her, and the next year she returned again, and then we went back to visit…

The band that brought us together is the Mavericks, but strangely enough when we first knew each other the band had split up; the lead singer Raul Malo did a series of solo tours which was a good excuse for us to get together again… and the Mavericks got together again! Here is a song which is a firm favourite with us, I wonder if the name gives you a clue, Amsterdam Moon!
