Fields of blood

I mentioned a few days ago the we visited the exhibition at the Tower of London, commemorating the dead of WW1. It was spectacular and moving, it was incredible to think every one of the ceramic blooms, hand-made, represented a person who had given their life for their country. Whatever the rights and wrongs, it was an incredible and dreadful sacrifice.

The poppies will encircle the iconic landmark, creating not only a spectacular display visible from all around the Tower but also a location for personal reflection. The scale of the installation intends to reflect the magnitude of such an important centenary creating a powerful visual commemoration.
