Des boulevards sans noms

Earlier today I was celebrating the life of Robert Desnos as today is the anniversary of his birth in 1900. I had not come across him before today, but I have ordered a book of his poems. The poem I was introduced to at our French conversation class was Le Paysage which had some memorable lines, including ‘des boulevards sans noms et des cordes sans nœuds‘  – ‘boulevards without names and ropes without knots’ – Later this reminded me of something else:
