April 30th, would have been Captain Tom Moore’s one hundred and first birthday, and in recognition of that, a new challenge has been announced that ordinary folk should try to complete a hundred somethings to raise more funds for The Captain Tom Foundation. My own challenge is to write over a hundred days, a 100 word blog each day.
Day 8
Seasons merge, the days drift past, some warmer when you would have expected chill, some cold and dull when you hoped for blue skies and balmy nights. There used to be that moment when you noticed the air had changed – winter is past and spring is here – look forward to summer! Or there would be that other moment, not necessarily particularly cold, when autumn was in the air, summer gone – winter was on its way!
Now we can have bright spring days in autumn, in winter, in spring itself, or dull, tepid, winter weather at any time throughout the year.
