In a fugg

It’s such a long time since I had a proper cold that I’d forgotten quite how miserable they are. I’ve had what I realise now were pseudo-colds, where you’re full of snuffles and croaks with endless nose-blowing and sore-throat-sweet sucking, but a real actual cold – well luckily I’ve escaped! Until now.  Now I feel rubbish, feeble, floppy, headache, really painful throat, my face feels as if it’s been slapped with a wet kipper, I’ve gone off eating and feel in a fugg. I just slump, dozing, watching the sort of TV programmes I don’t usually watch, time drifting, and creepy skin.

To be honest I’m being somewhat self-indulgent. I know that if I had something I was supposed to be doing I would buck up and do it, suck some pastels, have a pocket full of hankies and gulp down some cough syrup. However it’s fortunate that I don’t, and no doubt by tomorrow I will feel much better if not completely better. Meanwhile… where did I put my sore throat sweets, are there any clean hankies left, can I have a drink of water please?

My featured image is of a bonfire, because that’s what seems to be lodged in my throat at the moment.

Cake Lois …. cake ………. and if there is no cake, then choose two pints of Badger Surprise with a couple of Babychams and a packet of Indonesian seaweed crisps

Thank you so much. Thankfully I’m a great deal better today, still deploying the hankies and consuming the cough sweets, but I’m much more lively 🙂 xx
