We’ve decided we need to get fitter and walking seems the option. I think I have shared here the disaster that was our attempt to join a gym – complete and utter waste of money! Although I used to be a swimmer I now hate the pool, the noise, the music, lane swimming is no longer for me. Husband’s life has been music and being a drummer was exercise enough.
So we are now trying to go for a walk every day. Yesterday we walked down to the boatyard and a bit beyond – he’s more reluctant than I am so we didn’t go far. Today we went to the next bay along the coast, Sand Bay. We walked along a path behind the dunes, found an old pill box, the military kind not the container for medication, and took some photos,
We walked back to the car park and rewarded ourselves with an ice-cream. We hadn’t been far, but we had been further than yesterday. It’s easy these days with our phones and Fitbits to measure our progress in time and distance, but I get the feeling that he’s less enthusiastic than I am. Maybe I need to up the rewards!
