My drummer boy has a couple of gigs coming up in pubs we haven’t been to before. As he needs to know in advance where he can unload his kit and where he can set up we went on a little reconnaissance to Cheddar to The Riverside pub. A nice selection of beers were available but I went for Potholer… brewed by Cheddar Ales (they don’t only make cheese here!)
I’d never tried it before but I like their Gorge Best (Cheddar Gorge, George Best… get it?) and I was not disappointed, lovely pint!
Another pub we visited for research purposes was the Berrow Inn, in Berrow! Pub lunch… scampi and chips!

Ah those were the days. Not for me any more though. Everything to excess so clean and sober 10 + years.
