I’d not heard of this cheese before but was attracted by the little ceramic pot and by the fact it was reduced in price as it was coming up to its sell-by date… I won’t leap onto my sell-by date and best-before hobbyhorse, that’s for another time…
Anyway I bought this cheese…


It has a very pleasant smell, strong, but not as pungent as other soft cheeses. It was really delicious, creamy and rich, and the label is right, it does have a winey flavour. It wasn’t cheap for a small pot, but it you could not eat a lot of it at one go… Lovely, lovely, lovely!

It may be a little expensive but it is so worth it… I might have to have some for breakfast!
