Some spiders are just creepier than others…this one is creepy and makes me shuddery. Bring back the lichen please.

It looks like a daddy longlegs. They eat other spiders.

I’ve added another picture of him… he could probably eat small birds!

I wondered where Bernard had got to.

Don’t worry, he should be on his way home now, he was very gently (and bravely) put out of the window!

I’ll keep a lookout for him as he usually lives in my study and seems to have disappeared. I thought Mildred had bopped him one.

She was here earlier in the week, she went out the window too! We just have Dave in residence now, in the kitchen window eating the little flies which seem to like the basil. Oh and Richard is in the dining room, but I think he’s hibernating.

I think you’re as bad as me for the spiders. I can’t bear to kill them and they’re so useful when it comes to eating flies. The only problem is Mildred the cat, she loves to give them a good twanging and then it’s a free for all as I chase her and she’s chasing Bernard or George.

I thought Mildred must have been another spider! I’ve put up a bigger picture… makes me shiver a little to look at it!

Sorry, no Mildred’s my black cat – she thinks that huge spiders are fantastic but not for the right reasons, I’m afraid. I’ll have a look at your new picture now.

Sorry, I didn’t realise it was on the same post – stupid me. Have you tampered with the eyes because they look like something off a Dr Who creature?

Tampered with it? I was a quivering wreck in the corner until brave Bari kindly disposed of it!

I am now falling about with laughter – no I don’t mean that you grabbed the spider and tampered with it, I mean did you tamper with the photograph?

Oh LOL, you give me too much credit, no it is the real spider and actual pic!

Have you looked closely at it’s eyes?
