Jheronimus van Aken is a sixteenth century painter, more commonly known as Hieronymus Bosch. He was born in ‘s-Hertogenbosch which I was lucky enough to visit a couple of years ago.
It’s a wonderful town, full of history and interesting buildings, places, canals and sewers, yes sewers! I would love to go back here as it is the sort of place which you can never visit too often!
‘S-Hertogenbosch is a city and municipality in the southern Netherlands; it’s the capital of North Brabant and is about fifty miles south of Amsterdam .
