I woke up yesterday morning and there was David Bowie’s new single playing! It was his sixty-sixth birthday and he’d released a stunning new song… and whoohoo, there will be an album to follow!
Next there was an item on Elvis Presley, I’m not really a fan, perhaps I was too young to appreciate him (too young, ha!) but he was a huge influence on modern music, and it was his birthday yesterday too. He would have been seventy-eight, just imagine it!
Dame Shirley Bassey – it was her birthday too, she was seventy-six yesterday, but it wasn’t just a day for singers, the amazing professor Stephen Hawking also celebrated!
January 8th, apparently a great day!
