Last year we had a most enjoyable but very cold and rainy holiday in Kettlewell in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales; a pretty little village with everything you could want including three pubs and a huge dollop of piturersqueness! However, much as I enjoyed being away with the family – we always have such a good time together, it was very cold, but what else can you expect at Easter time.
Now it is June and we have had a lovely spell of wonderful weather, but will it continue while we’re away? This time we are going to Whitby, famous for Dracula and fish and chips… and much else besides. it is a pretty little town on the east coast of England and we are holidaying with a different lot of cousins. I know we will have a wonderful time, I know we’ll find plenty to do of interest, we’ll eat well, drink well, laugh a lot… but will we get any sunshine? The east coast is notorious for strong cool winds, but will it be kind to us? I think we deserve it!
