Rory’s chocolate brownies

 

My son is a fine cook and he has the best recipe for chocolate brownies… unfortunately I don’t have a photo of any as they are eaten as soon as they are made!

RORY’S CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Oven temp 170° C

  • 100g butter/margarine
  • 175g caster sugar
  • 75g dark muscavado or similar brown sugar
  • 125g dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2tbsps cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder

 

  1. Gently melt the butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, dark chocolate and syrup together
  2. Let cool slightly while beating eggs and sifting flour
  3. Gently and carefully stir eggs into mixture
  4. Fold in flour
  5. Put in lined tin cook 20-25 mins until still gooey but cooked
