Red pandas are the most adorable creatures imaginable… in fact they aren’t pandas or bears but a sort of distant cousin of a weasel or raccoon. Their favourite occupation is sleeping, using their tails as a pillow; they are quiet little souls, quite shy and timid. They come from Nepal and northern Burma and although they do eat bamboo they eat lots of other things too, including fruit, roots and eggs. They also like eating blossom, which just shows how cute they are. Their Latin name is ailurus fulgens and they are also known as a firefox or a lesser panda… which since they genetically aren’t pandas is a bit silly… unlike red pandas, who aren’t silly at all!

Yes I do, however I don’t use it for much of anything and in fact am thinking of closing my account with them as they are far too intrusive for my liking.

I find it quite useful for staying in touch with friends abroad – especially now my daughter is in the US on a year’s internship she can share photos with me!
