Some recipes fool you into thinking they are easy and then throw in an unexpected technique you actually don’t know how to do, or an ingredient which behaves in an unexpected way… Other recipes really are as easy as they read, but then you worry that you might have made a mistake, or missed out an ingredient or step in the process. Well, don’t worry about this, it really is as easy as it sounds – the only thing is it tastes much nicer than you expect!! peanut butter cake, won’t that be a little… well, peanut buttery? It really is delicious, and I’m going to try making it with bananas as I love the combination! Burt here is the plain recipe:
Peanut Butter Loaf Cake
- 10 oz peanut butter smooth or crunchy whichever you prefer
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon cider/wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 dessert spoons sugar (brown or white whichever you prefer)
- beat eggs and peanut butter together until really smooth and mixed in
- add the other ingredients and beat again
- pour into a well-greased small loaf tin (or a larger one and have a shallower loaf!)
- cook for 30-40 minutes at 350° F, 180° C, gas mark 4
