April 30th 2021, would have been Captain Tom Moore’s one hundred and first birthday, and in recognition of that, a new challenge has been announced that ordinary folk should try to complete a hundred somethings to raise more funds for The Captain Tom Foundation. My own challenge is to write over a hundred days, a 100 word blog each day.
Day 10
Sometimes there’s a house or a picture of a house where you sense something happened. Windows glitter like eyes, or are dull and secretive, or an emanation makes your skin creep and crawl. It can be an innocuous house, an ordinary house, but there is something secretive, some hidden menace or history within.
Sometimes there stands a lonely house, no neighbours, no sense of history as if it’s waiting in anticipation for an untold something to unfold within.
And sometimes there’s a smiling, happy house with a warm and welcoming air, ready to embrace you and all who enter in.
