The village of Muchelney has been cut off for over a month, an island community now because of the floods We visited last summer, on a lovely dayI think the church is on higher land, but the villagers, and their livestock are in grave trouble. nearby villages have been evacuated.

Porlock Weir
The wind is howling round our house, and I can hear things breaking outside. The sea is about a quarter of a mile away, and we are quite safe because of our excellent sea defences, but I wonder what it is like further down the coat, at Porlock Weir, for example?
