Old pictures tell stories

I love old photos, even if I don’t know the people in the pictures I love all the details of costume and setting, and the expressions on their faces. Here is a small selection of old family photographs. This is my maternal family, my grandmother’s name was Walford, my grandfather was the last but one of a long line of William Matthews

I use gimp to size, scan, and color my cartoons. I am probably using less than 5% of the things the program does. It has a healing tool where you can mend torn and creased photos and even color them and don’t need a pro to do it for you. It is absolutely magical . Gimp download is free and has” how to” vids. .
